Situated between 2 rivers, the Dee and the Don, Aberdeen - the
Granite City, Silver City by the Golden Sands, Flower of Scotland
- is Scotland’s third largest city, a prosperous cosmopolitan
city, the oil capital of Europe and the gateway to Royal Deeside,
an area of outstanding natural beauty, sparkling Highland rivers
and misty mountains.
Easily accessible from the Cults Hotel either
by car or bus, Aberdeen has much to offer in shopping, history
and heritage, entertainment and culture.
As well as a large selection of
quality, individual shops such as Marks and Spencer and GAP, there
are a number of shopping centres and Malls The Academy Shopping
Centre, The Bon Accord Centre is the largest with Boots, John Lewis,
Primark, Laura Ashley plus a whole host of other well-known retail
names. The St Nicholas Centre and Trinity Centre provide such names
as Next and Argos.
Aberdeen has six city parks, seven
local parks and 32 neighbourhood parks with splendid Winter Gardens
to be found at the Duthie Park by the River Dee. Aberdeen’s
population is around 200,000 and has abundant history with numerous
historic buildings to be explored such as the Art Gallery and Museum,
hosts an abundance of local, national and international exhibits
in all categories from drawings and paintings to tribal artifacts
from centuries past.

Aberdeen and Grampian is Scotland’s Castle
and Whisky Country, where you can discover magnificent Scottish
Castles, highland adventure, dramatic coastline, a land of pride
and promise.
Aberdeen - the Granite City, Silver
City by the Golden Sands, Flower of Scotland - is Scotland’s

of Europe and the North Sea oilfields are serviced from the bustling
harbour which also still lands fish, once the main activity at
Aberdeen Harbour. The Maritime Museum is full of legend and history
of the hard life and existence of the sea-faring communities in
and around Aberdeen. It also features the more recent history of
the advent of North Sea Oil.
Snow sports are close at hand with
Glenshee and the Lecht ski areas both approximately one hour drive
from the Cults Hotel. Glenshee is suited to intermediate skiers
whilst the Lecht is more family focused and ideal for beginners.
Cairngorm ski centre is the main snow sport resort in Scotland
and this is approximately 2.5 hours from the Cults Hotel.
Hill walking is abundant in Royal
Deeside and fly fishing on the River Dee is also available on request.
Aberdeen and Grampian is an ideal place for
outdoor activities of every kind and is a Mecca for golfers with
70 golf courses to play, from galas and ceilidhs to world renowned
festivals and Scottish Highland Games.
